My friend Jessie is one of a kind! I’m not talking about her adventurous spirit. Or her contagious energy. Or her genuine happiness? generosity? craziness? No. Jess has a hidden talent. She is an arborist!*Arborists are professionals focused on the health and safety of individual trees or wooded landscapes. She loves her job. So... when she brought home some of her gear for the weekend, Nick and i were lucky enough to be able to learn a little bit about what an arborist does. I was quite surprised by what I learned... it was actually pretty challenging (and a lot of fun). It was so cool to learn something new. I also have a new appreciation for trees and the people that care for them. (Especially the ones on campus that are conveniently trimmed above my head on the walking paths.)
